October Show and Tell

 We had no theme for October.  Members shared the following projects.

Marguerite used scraps to make this colorful quilt, which she is donating to Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Dave shared two styles of fabric dyeing.  The first method involves using shaving cream.  He used two blue dyes to create this fabric.

Dave used Ice Dyeing to create this half mandella.  He used all primary colors.

Dave used Ice Dyeing and tying the fabric to make the following hearts.

Mary made this fall double-sided trivet/hot pad.

Mary made the following doll quilt to donate, along with a doll, to Christmas for Kids in Tuscola County.

September Show and Tell

 There was no theme for September.  The following are items member shared.

Sue's friend gave her an embroidered block and Sue used it as the center of a pastel patchwork quilt.

Mary made a wall hanging using a vintage doily.

Mary also made a door hanging in support of Kamala.

Joyce made a variety of items to donate to the Habitat for Humanity 

Quilt Show and Auction.  Following is a few of the table runners

 and table toppers she made.

Linda made the following bowls to be sold at the Buy It Now booth at 

the Habitat for Humanity Quilt Show and Auction.

August Show and Tell

 August's challenge was "Reflections."  Some of the members created projects which followed the theme.

Linda made a wall quilt having fall leaves reflected in water.

Tam created a wall quilt with reflecting butterflies. 

Jane made "Dew Drop View," using silk with Sharpee markers spritzed with 90% rubbing alcohol.

Following are other projects members shared.

Marguerite made this Santa & reindeer using machine embroidery.

Marguerite made this sunrise wall quilt, using fabric mosaic under tulle.

She also made a ducks and cattails quilt using watercolor quilting with applique on top.

The following 3 photos are of dove appliqued quilt surrounded by bright piecing made by Marguerite.

Dave experimented with weaving fabric strips to make a quilt top.

Tam made a wall hanging with flower appliques.  She used free-motion thread drawing when quilting it.

Jane made a 90th Anniversary wall hanging for Samaritas.  She used two t-shirts the company had made to celebrate their anniversary.  She added flowers from a tee she had.

Mary made Christmas coasters to match mugs.

She also made jar openers for Christmas presents.

Mary made this table topper as part of a challenge with friends who were all given small charm packs to work with.

These are some of the hot pads Mary made for the Buy It Now booth at the Habitat Quilt Show this fall.

June Show and Tell

 These are the projects which were shared at the June meeting.

Tam rescued this vintage top that required repair, before she quilted it. It will be in the Habitat show/ auction.

 Jane made this Shadowbox quilt, also for the Habitat show.

Jane made this woven mandala wall hanging.

Marsha shared a machine cutout.

Marsha also shared a modern Dresden Plate quilt. She used one fabric with the stack-n-whack method.   Below is a close up.
