September Show and Tell

This photo of a quilt was our inspiration for our September project.
 
 
Mary made "Resist" in reaction to immigrant children being separated from their families.
 
 
This is a close up of the paper pieced fist.

  

The phrases hand embroidered around the outside of the fist are ideals Mary believes in.

We had no topic this month.  Members shared projects they have been working on.

July Show and Tell


The topic for July was 3-dimensional / texture/ textile manipulation.
 
Nancy manipulated white muslin with rust.  She placed nails, bolts, washers, etc.
 on the muslin and kept the fabric damp for weeks.
