December Show and Tell

No Rules Quilters met today.  Members have been busy getting ready for Christmas, so our Show and Tell was very short.

Nancy shared two Gelli prints she had made.
 




Jane made braided leather bracelets and coin purses for Christmas presents for 
her nieces and nephews.  This is one of the bracelets.

November Show and Tell

Our theme for November was, "What we are thankful for".   Since we only had one quilt with that theme, our projects will be presented in the order we viewed them at our meeting.

Wanda made this wool and pleather bag.
 

 
Wanda used thread painting to make this pink and lime flower.
 
 


Using her cutter machine and embroidery machine, Wanda designed this fall wall quilt.
 
 


This is  a "Reversible Tote" by Wanda.
 
 
 
 
 
Peggy made this polka dot coffee pot wall quilt to display at the
Dawn of a New Day coffee shop next month.
 
 
 
 
Barbara completed her New Day Dawning quilt, also to be displayed at the coffee shop.
 
 
 
Barbara also shared her quilt, "For These I Give Thanks".
 
 
 
 
Jane has been busy making items for the Marketplace at The Quilted Cottage.  
She shared two  of the mini duffel bags she made.
 
 
 
 
 
Tam made this throw with large red flowers.  She started with 3 orphan blocks
Francine had given her.
 
 
 
 
Alice made "Craft is Art, but First Coffee" for the display at the coffee shop.
 
 
 
 
Julie shared a quilt made by her great grandmother.

The No Rules Quilters were asked to display coffee and tea themed quilts at Dawn of a New Day, a coffee shop in Saginaw.  Below are the quilts members have completed so far.

September Show and Tell

In November and December, the No Rules Quilters are going to display coffee and tea themed quilts at the Dawn of a New Day Coffeehouse, in Saginaw.  Some of the members have already finished their wall quilts for the coffeehouse.

Wanda made two wall hangings, one for coffee and one for tea.

Wanda also finished up a Candy Jar wall quilt made from a block she was given.
 
 
This leaf wall hanging, by Wanda,  was made using a painted panel on which Wanda placed leaves.  When the panel was put into the sun, the area under the leaves lost it's color.
 
 
 
 
Members often share books, fabric, trims, tools, etc. they no longer need at our meeting  Julie made this Halloween Wall quilt, for a grandchild, using some of the repurposed fabric.
