Orphan Blocks and Embellishments

This month our challenge was to use an orphan block or embellishments in a project.
 
 
Jane used orphan blocks to make this narrow table runner.  
(Squares in block are about 0.5 inch squares)




This folded star orphan block was hand made by Joyce J.'s mom.
 
 
 
 
Mary used a panel to make this wall hanging with numerous embellishments.
 
 
 
Mary also shared an Owl Taggie Toy.
 
 
 
 
This is a sample of a paper-pieced block..."Colorado Pass"  made by Karen. 
Karen was testing the block for a future quilt.
 
 
 
 
Linda used a panel with the Virgin of Guadalupe to make this wall hanging.
 
 
 
Linda used metallic thread to quilt the flames.
 
 
Linda also embellished the quilt with beads, medals and ric rac.
 
 
 
 
Nancy made this quilt using orphan block which another quilter was going to throw away!
