November Show and Tell

The challenge for November was to use vintage linens or fabrics in our projects.

Mary used old family doilies in her wall hanging.

The background was made using hand stamped fabrics.

The lace and flowers were tinted with tea and the grass was colored with Intense pencils.

Alice added an old doily to a half square triangle wall quilt.

A closer view.

Alice also made a quilted wall quilt to hold Barbie dolls wearing hankie dresses.
(notice the neat cut out work at the top)

Closer view.

Alice made the dolls jackets on her embroidery machine.

Linda made this tote bag using a hankie.

A closer view of the trim around the hankie.

Jane's inspiration was her father's baby quilt made by his family and neighbors.

Jane used her father's baby shoes and booties in her project.
(sorry the color is off in this photo)

The red fabric in Jane's project was in the bag with her father's baby shoes, booties and baby clothes.

The same red fabric was in her father's quilt.

Barbara used a Laura Heine pattern for part of her project.  Barb changed parts of the pattern
 and added the trellis.

Barbara also added the boots.
(The quilt is under construction)

Barbara added different laces through out the skirt.

Members also shared other projects they have been working on.

Alice made this quiet doll.
(Perhaps to be used to keep a child busy and quiet during a church service.)

Tam shared a UFO....a nature collage quilt.
