November Show and Tell

The theme for November was baskets.
 
Barbara made this basket with a cat.  The project was a Round Robin,
so after Barbara made the center, other quilters added the borders.
 
 
 
This is Linda's Flower Basket Quilt with pinwheels.
 

Linda used the pillowcase method when make the quilt.  She used flowers to cover the spot on the back where she turned the quilt.
 

 
 
 
Jane's "Balloon Fest" is her basket themed quilt.  Jane plans to add people to the baskets.
 
 
 
 
Mary made 4 hot pads using the basket theme.
 
 
 
 
Barbara brought a visitor who enjoys many crafts.  This is Nataliya showing
the group the lining of the coat she made.
 
 
Nataliya also shared these necklaces she made.
 


 
 
 
Members also shared other projects they have been working on.
 
Julie made this mini quilt with pumpkins and a mouse.
 
 
Julie made this winter scene to hang in her garage.
 
 
Julie made this red, white and blue star quilt.
 
 
Julie is working on this jacket.  She modified the method for making Alabama Chanin's tops
she saw Pinterest.  Her jacket is made from a sweatshirt and Julie stenciled the gray shapes. 
She is now  hand stitching around each figure.

Joyce made this fleece neck warmer.
 
 
Joyce showed the group a coin purse she purchased.  Joyce plans to use as inspiration
 to make more coin purses using felted wool.
 

 
 
Linda made this denim bag with 3D flowers using old jeans.
 
 
 
 
Tam made this squirrel mini quilt.
 
 
Tam hand quilted this whole cloth wall hanging.
 

Laurel Burch butterflies were the inspiration for Tam's quilt.

Jane took the photo that was the inspiration for her leaf with raindrops mini quilt. 
She had glass melted to make the raindrops.
 
 
 
 
Wanda remade a man's flannel shirt and decorated it.
 
 
 
Mary has been making hot pads for Christmas presents.
 

 
Mary also made this pumpkin decorated with buttons, beads and rhinestones.
 
 
Mary's daughter made this tote.
 
 
 
After Show & Tell, Wanda showed the group another method of paper piecing.
