March Show and Tell

The following projects were shared at the March meeting.

Sue made this strip quilt top for Lutheran World Relief.

Joyce made these rectangular and square table mats using Civil War prints.

Joyce also made the Christmas and rooster table mats.

Linda made a basket of bunnies to be sold to benefit
Habitat for Humanity.

Tam used raw edge applique to make this Kitty and sunshine wall hanging.

Wanda made this wall hanging/table runner using fabric colored with poster paint and then topped with leaves.
 Her quilting accents the leaves.

Mary made these hot pads for Habitat for Humanity.  She used a panel and 30's prints.

Dave used the same horse panel in these three quilts.  In the one above, the borders are rail fence blocks.  Below, he used stained glass blocks.

The black lines were formed by crouching black yarn.

Dave also made the wolves quilt below using a panel.  Dave's quilts are being donated to Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Marguerite framed her machine embroidery of
Jesus on the cross.

Marguerite used a John Flynn quilt kit to make this
Lone Star quilt.

Maguerite made these two quilts using
Thomas Kinkade panels.

Below are three Michigan quilts Marguerite made using appliqued lighthouse blocks and panels.  Some of the
 photos show closeup details.

Marguerite also plans to donate her quilts to
Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

Jane shared some vintage textile design class projects,
 from the early 1970's

Jane made the bags below using a one-piece pattern.
