Quilts Made From Vintage Panels

The topic for February's quilts was to work with old panels.  Tam slashed her panel and added strips to make the following art quilt top.

Julie had an pillow panel with a polar bear in a circle.  This is her finished quilt.

Julie added the igloo and Eskimos.

She also painted the stream that runs through her quilt.

This is a photo of the pillow panel Jane started with.

This is a closer view of the watercolor quilt.

Jane also made a number of Soldier Quilts, lap quilts for veterans.  She used this panel in one of the quilts.

The tiny half square triangles were scraps from this quilt Jane also made.

Jane also made the following two Soldier Quilts!

Jane also shared the pattern for these frogs with the group.  Jane has made hundreds of the frogs for her church!

Mary made this baby quilt using a new panel for a great nephew.

Linda has been busy making garden aprons from denim jeans.

Linda used lace scraps and leftover upholstery samples to decorate the aprons.

Some of the aprons had log cabin blocks incorporated into the top.
