March Show and Tell

The topic for March involved using men's ties in a project.  There were many beautiful projects.
 
Wanda made a purse out of a man's suit jacket and ties.
 
 
Wanda also made a modern wall hanging using ties and labels.
 
 
 
Alice made numerous tie projects.  She made the vest she is wearing from ties.
 
 
Alice also made this wall hanging using her embroidery machine, the ladies garments are ties.
 



 
 
She made some flowers using tie.
 
 
Alice also made four purses using ties!!!
 


 
 
 
Nancy shared a crazy quilt block using ties, the block is still in progress.
 

 
 
 
Barbara made a reversible purse using ties.
 

 
 
 
Julie made two barrettes using ties.
 

The second one is still in progress.
 
 
 
 
 
Members also shared other projects they have been working on this past month.
 
Mary made this Tumbler baby quilt.
 
 
 
Mary has also been working on Easter hot pads and coasters.
 
 
 
 
Besides all the tie projects, Alice has been practicing different techniques on her embroidery machine.  She made this purse with an attached embroidered hook.
 
 
She also made this frog to use as a closure.
 
 
Using a jean leg and pocket, Alice made this purse.
 
 
 
Alice used jeweler wire and pearl buttons to make this necklace.

Barbara made a baby quilt top using a panel.
 
 
 
Barbara shared a large quilt she had completed as a gift for her niece.
 
 
 
Because her niece is fond of cats, Barbara added a few to the quilt.
 

 
 
 
Joyce made a glasses case using ribbon scraps.
 
 
 
 
Tam used five paper-pieced blocks to make a Star quilt.
 
 
 
 
Julie designed a mountain scene with a tepee.
 
 
 
She dyed the fabric, painted the tepee and used various other techniques in the wall hanging.
